The Adult ADHD team is made up of specialist nurses, occupational therapists and a Consultant Psychiatrist who offer ADHD pre-screening, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of ADHD.

The service is open to anyone over the age of 18 years living in Norfolk and Waveney who has an existing diagnosis of ADHD, or anyone who may require an assessment of ADHD.

We are a prescribing service which means we will offer medication to help you manage your ADHD symptoms, where appropriate. We will work closely with you to ensure you receive the correct treatment and will review your progress on a regular basis.

Your GP can refer you to our service, and if you are a young person your community paediatric service will transfer your care to us once you reach the age of 18.

Interpretation and translation services are available for this service.

Age Range: 18 and over
Target Groups: Mental Health, Older people
Referral Procedure: If you think you may have ADHD, or already have a diagnosis of ADHD but need to start treament, or have a review of your medication you should ask your GP to refer you to the Adult ADHD service.
How Service is Delivered: We provide outpatient clinics at various locations throughout Norfolk and Waveney including Norwich, Great Yarmouth, and Kings Lynn. We will always try to offer you an appointment at the nearest location to you. We also offer many of our appointments virtually, reducing the need for travel.
Opening Times: Our service is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m – 5 p.m.
Parking and Transport: Some of sites offer free car parking with disabled spaces available. If there is no on site parking we let you know and where we can will advise you of pay and display car parks nearby or the regular bus routes.
Special Educational Needs Transition: If a young person is in treatment with community paediatric services, then it is this service who will make a referral to the adult ADHD team once they reach the age of 18 years.
Compliments / Complaints: The customer service team can listen to your issues, concerns, compliments or suggestions, resolve problems where possible, and feed back to services to aid service development.
