The Nordelph Rehabilitation Unit (NRU) provides rehabilitation, care and support to help anyone over 65 who has suffered through disease, injury or surgery, return to health or normal life. They must be registered with a GP in Norfolk. The Nordelph Rehabilitation Unit (NRU) has 10 bed's located within High Haven Residential Care Home for older people in Downham Market. The rehabilitation is provided by the Community Rehabilitation Team which include an Occupational therapist, Physiotherapist and Therapy Assistants. Re-ablement assistants also work in the unit and encourage patients to carry out daily living activities on their own, giving help as required. The normal length of stay is between 2-4 weeks.

Please ensure that you bring:
- your current medication with you and your repeat prescriptions.
- your current walking aid
- incontinence pads/ catheter bags with you if needed.
- a pair of supportive footwear (e.g. flat shoes)
- comfortable day clothes

Interpretation and translation services can be arranged by staff, for users of this service.

Referral Procedure: Referral is via Health care or Social care professional.
How Service is Delivered: Assessment and therapy delivered by community therapy team within a rehabilitation unit based in a care home.
Opening Times: Unit staff are available between 8.30 a.m – 5.00 p.m

Parking and Transport: Limited onsite parking available. Accessible by public tranpsort.
Access and Facilities: Main entrance, toilet facilities and lift are wheelchair accessible.
Compliments / Complaints: The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) can listen to your issues, concerns, compliments or suggestions, resolve problems where possible, and feed back to services to aid service development.
