The Children's Physiotherapy Community Service provides assessment, treatment and/or management for conditions that respond to physiotherapy for all children aged 0-16 and 0-19 for those in Special schools.

Children living in Thetford, have physiotherapy services provided from Suffolk Community Health Care, Bury St Edmunds Child Development Centre - 01842 775005.

Interpretation and translation services can be arranged by staff, for users of this service.

Home visits are provided by this service for long-term children only.

Special Educational Needs Accessible: The Jenny Lind Physiotherapy department is within the Therapy department Level 2 East block of NNUH and has access to children, on foot in push chairs and wheel chairs. The Physiotherapists are all experience staff and used to working with children and their families. Children are also seen in their schools and their homes. Please note that the department is co-located within adult therapy services and there is not a waiting area dedicated to children so please arrive no more than5 minutes before your appointment time.
Special Educational Needs Contact: A referral from a Health Care professional is required to access Physiotherapy
Special Educational Needs Transition: Young people who are likely to need ongoing physiotherapy input when they leave school will be referred to the appropriate adult physiotherapy services.
Compliments / Complaints: The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) can listen to your issues, concerns, compliments or suggestions, resolve problems where possible, and feed back to services to aid service development.
