Specialist physiotherapists provide a service to women who have pelvic girdle pain, back pain or other musculoskeletal problems in their pregnancy and for three months after birth, for women booked to deliver at NNUH. The service also sees men and women who have pelvic floor muscle dysfunction, including urinary/faecal incontinence, urogenital prolapse, pelvic pain including vulvodynia and vaginismus. A paediatric continence service is available for day and night time urinary symptoms and is accessed via a consultant referral. Male service for men who have had a radical prostatectomy

Interpretation, translation and chaperone services can be arranged by staff, for users of this service.

Target Groups: Men, Mother / Pregnant women, Women

Referral Procedure: Any pregnant woman who will be delivering at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital can self refer, or be referred by any member of her healthcare team, during pregnancy and for up to 3 months afterwards.

All other referrals must be written referrals from a healthcare professional.
How Service is Delivered: Outpatient clinics at NNUH including virtual and face to face appointments
Opening Times: NNUH Monday to Friday, 8.30 a.m - 4.30 p.m. Will always be answerphone but will get checked throughout the day
Parking and Transport: Onsite parking spaces are available in the hospital public car parks at an additional cost. You can get to this service using public or community transport.
Access and Facilities: Wheelchair accessible lift and toilet.
Compliments / Complaints: The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) can listen to your issues, concerns, compliments or suggestions, resolve problems where possible, and feed back to services to aid service development.
