This service provides rehabilitation if you have had leg or arm removed (amputation). Occasionally when the unit allows, other patient groups may be considered.

9 Inpatient beds, Outpatient rehabilitation with same Multi Disciplinary Team as inpatient unit including prosthetic team based at Re-Enablement centre on Bowthorpe Road.

Home visits provided if required for rehabilitation.

Interpretation and translation services can be arranged by staff, for users of this service.

An information leaflet about the service should be available shortly. Other leaflets are provided based on need and specific to individuals and their progress, for example limb related.

All information leaflets will be provided dirctly to patient at the relevant point of their care.

Referral Procedure: To use this service, the hospital will send your details to this service. The service will then contact you to make an appointment or explain what will happen next.
How Service is Delivered: Inpatient ward and outpatient therapy service in the gym and out patient clinic at Re Enablement Services Centre.
Opening Times: Inpatient service is provided 24 hours a day, every day. Outpatients are booked appointments Monday to Friday, 9 a.m - 5 p.m.
Parking and Transport: Limited onsite parking; the parking surface is of uneven construction which may cause difficulties for wheelchair users.

Accessible by public and community transport
Access and Facilities: Main entrance well signposted and wheelchair accessible. Outside areas can be difficult for wheelchair users on their own.
There is a wheelchair accessible toilet, and Disabled parking slots on site.
Compliments / Complaints: The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) can listen to your issues, concerns, compliments or suggestions, resolve problems where possible, and feed back to services to aid service development.
