This service offers expert specialist knowledge and advice in all areas of Upper and Lower limb loss, providing, where clinically appropriate, provision of artificial limbs to patients. Support is offered to their carers and professionals working alongside these individuals. We draw in patients from Norfolk, parts of Suffolk, Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire. We work closely with local acute and community services that refer patients for assessment.

Interpretation and translation services can be arranged by staff, for users of this service.

This service can provide home visits based on assessment of needs.

Referral Procedure: Referral is via health professional or self-referral after first appointment.
Where the patient is an established user but moved into the area, they must contact their previous service for the transfer of their records to our service.
How Service is Delivered: Currently clinic is run at the Re-enablement Services Centre in Norwich and occassional clinics have been provided at Hartismere hospital near Eye; these stopped during the pandemic and have not re-commenced as of yet, but we are looking to re-commence in the future. Appointment may be carried out virtually if appropriate. Home visits might be offered if appropriate.
Opening Times: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 (excluding bank holidays)

Colman Hospital Unthank Road Norwich for therapy only appointments.
Parking and Transport: Limited onsite parking. Accessible by public and community transport. No charge however a permit needs to be requested and displayed, please discuss with reception staff.
Access and Facilities: Main entrance well signposted and wheel chair accessible. Wheelchair accessible toilet
Special Educational Needs Accessible: Children will come in at separate time to adults, and will not be seen in the same room as adult patients. Staff do see patients in their own home, or in the school to support children and the families, and the education team where the child accesses. Clinical teams will work with the child through play to assess and review their needs, and make the environment as natural as possible, be it in a clinic setting.
Special Educational Needs Contact: Clinical team at the centre.
Special Educational Needs Transition: As the team manages children and adults, there is a seamless transition with no referral required. Same service, so no age level for transition.
Compliments / Complaints: The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) can listen to your issues, concerns, compliments or suggestions, resolve problems where possible, and feed back to services to aid service development.
